UCD Undergraduate Summer School 2019 Tuesday 4th to Friday 7th June 2019.
The Summer School is aimed at secondary school students who are just finishing 5th year (year 12 A-Level). Prospective students find the Summer School very useful in confirming their third-level course decision and many of these students return to study in UCD. During the first week in June approximately 1,200 prospective students will get an intensive immersion in a particular course area or subject through lectures, practicals and group activities.
Please bring the UCD Summer School to the attention of any secondary school students who you think might benefit from this opportunity to experience UCD.

Ms Sludds Hickey (Friday)Some important information about the Guidance Counselling Service and questions answered.
What is the role of the Guidance Counsellor?
Our role is to provide support to students in the following areas:
Where is the Guidance Office and what is available there? Our office is located on the top floor of the school building, the second door on left off the corridor to the German Department. What resources are available there? In front of the Guidance Office is a workroom with and quiet space area. There is a careers library available to all students detailing information on studying in Ireland, the UK and Germany. There are two computers and a printer available for use by Senior Cycle students wishing to undertake careers research. What should I do if I want to meet with the Guidance Counsellor? You can call by the office and ask for an appointment. You will be given an appointment slip and on the day of your meeting you must first go to your scheduled class and give the Subject Teacher your appointment slip. This way the teacher knows that you are present and this can be marked on the eportal register. Then you can go to your meeting with the Guidance Counsellor.
