The High School has two fully qualified Guidance Counsellors who provide a comprehensive service. The Guidance Department supports students on educational issues including subject choice and study skills. Guidance Counsellors also provide personal counselling for students who may experience periods of personal difficulties. We work in conjunction with the pastoral care team of the year heads and form teachers to support students and parents.
The Guidance Department has developed a careers guidance programme spanning the three years of the Senior Cycle. From Transition Year to Sixth Year students participate in psychometric testing, careers classes, careers counselling, mock interviews, college visits and college presentations.
