Being a self-employed artist is probably the most difficult job really. You need to be highly motivated in the tasks you set for yourself. You need to be able to work on your inspirations and be totally focused on your targets. If your painting does not work first time you need to be able to learn from your experience and use what worked in another piece. Your ability to have confidence in your journey exploring your choice of subjects in paint is important. As regards doing workshops, bringing fun into the entire effort is the most important element to achieve. Your audiences will learn in a more sustainable way and produce drawings to be proud of.

Administrative?
Administrative
Administrative people are interested in work that offers security and a sense of being part of a larger process. They may be at their best operating under supervisors who give clear guidelines, and performing routine tasks in a methodical and reliable way.

They tend to enjoy clerical and most forms of office work, where they perform essential administrative duties. They often form the backbone of large and small organisations alike. They may enjoy being in charge of office filing systems, and using computers and other office equipment to keep things running smoothly. They usually like routine work hours and prefer comfortable indoor workplaces.

CAO Round A offers will be available to view online at www.cao.ie from 6 am today

6,207 applicants receive CAO offers today

A total of 6,207 applicants will receive an offer in this early round – of these, 4,884 will receive a Level 8 offer and 2,500 will receive a Level 7/6 offer.

1,177 applicants will receive an offer on both the Level 8 and Level 7/6 lists.

Successful applicants will also receive a paper offer notice by post, an email and a text message (if they have selected this option) with details of their offer.

Round A offers mainly concern mature applicants, mature nursing/midwifery applicants, and deferred applicants, but offers are also issued to some applicants who have completed an access course, or those who may be required to make visa arrangements.

The ‘Reply Date’ by which Round A offers must be accepted is Thursday, 12 July at 5:15 pm.

Speaking about the offer process, CAO communications officer, Eileen Keleghan, commented; “We urge all mature, deferred and other applicants who may be expecting an offer at this stage to log in to their CAO accounts after 6 am today to check if they have received a Round A offer.

“Successful applicants will also receive an email to the email account that they have registered on the CAO system.

“Offers must be accepted by 5:15 pm on Thursday next, 12 July – failure to accept an offer by the reply date will result in the offer being cancelled” she added.

A further offer round (Round Zero) will take place on 2 August  for additional mature applicants, deferred and Access applicants, graduate entry medicine applicants, and applicants presenting QQI FET/FETAC qualifications for entry to courses with a quota for QQI FET/FETAC applicants.

For all other applicants, Round One offers will be issued on Monday, 20 August. Round One offers will be available to view online from 6 am, and successful applicants will also receive offer notification by email and text message if they have selected this option, as well as by post.

The reply date for Round One offers is 24 August at 5:15 pm.

Round Two offers will be available to view online from 29 August at 10 am.
