This is a job that you must be really interested in to succeed in. At times the hours can be very long and the work can be very challenging. You must be prepared to put up with the hard work in order to get the real experience and career progress that the job can offer you. If you are not really interested in this work you will be letting yourself and your colleagues down.

Enterprising people like situations that involve using resources for personal or corporate economic gain. Such people may have an opportunistic frame of mind, and like commerce, trade and making deals. Some are drawn to sales and marketing occupations. Many will eventually end up owning their own business, or managing a section in larger organisations. They tend to be very goal-oriented, and work best when focused on a target. Some have an entrepreneurial inclination.

Tandem HR Solutions is creating 40 new jobs over the next three years. The Irish tech firm has developed a solution to help organisations re-shape how employee performance is managed through enhanced coaching and feedback practices.

The company grew from the NDRC Female Founders programme run in partnership with Enterprise Ireland. Founded in 2016 by Aisling Teillard (CEO), Jim O’Brien and Clare Bonham, the Tandem platform is designed to reshape how performance is managed through accelerating feedback and coaching practices in organisations, resulting in stronger engagement, satisfaction and retention, according to Aisling Teillard. "By enabling feedback to flow organically throughout an organisation, you can accelerate the personal growth of your people and enable them to take ownership over their own development, in alignment with organisational goals."

Tandem’s HR solutions recently received European recognition when the company won the Disrupt HR award at Europe’s largest HR technology event in Paris. Niall McEvoy, Manager, High Potential Start-Ups of Enterprise Ireland said "A key focus for Enterprise Ireland is helping companies like Tandem to start-up, innovate and scale internationally and Tandem is a really great example of a female led highly innovative Irish company with global ambition."
