Creative

Creative people are drawn to careers and activities that enable them to take responsibility for the design, layout or sensory impact of something (visual, auditory etc). They may be drawn towards the traditional artistic pursuits such as painting, sculpture, singing, or music. Or they may show more interest in design, such as architecture, animation, or craft areas, such as pottery and ceramics.

Creative people use their personal understanding of people and the world they live in to guide their work. Creative people like to work in unstructured workplaces, enjoy taking risks and prefer a minimum of routine.

Changes to post-graduate entry requirements for Primary Teaching

Four colleges are changing their Irish oral entry requirement

Changes to post-graduate entry requirements for Primary Teaching

There will be changes to the Irish oral entry requirement for students applying for post graduate programmes in primary teaching in DCU, Maynooth University, Marino Institute of Education and Mary Immaculate College.

At present, applicants who have already satisfied the Minimum Entry Requirements in Irish, English and Maths, have to do three separate Irish oral examinations. Each of these oral examinations take place on the same day as an interview at the institution concerned.

Starting from 2019, there will only be one Irish oral examination, which will take place before they apply to their preferred college. They will then apply to their college of choice and be called to interview. No further oral exam will take place.

The oral Irish examination will cost €65.
