Delivery Service Look To Expand Following Investment

DPD Ireland Create 120 New Jobs

Ireland’s largest parcel delivery company DPD Ireland have announced that they will create 120 new jobs at their Athlone site and hubs around the country.

The announcement comes following the news of a €2m investment to expand its central sorting hub in Athlone, bringing total investment in the Midlands facility to €38m.

The company aims to significantly boost its Irish operations by increasing its sorting capacity in Athlone and increasing their workforce around their 34 Irish depots from 1,720 to 1,840 employees.

The new roles will be focused on drivers, sortation staff in the regional networks, night staff at the Athlone hub and admin staff throughout the country. Recruitment for these new jobs are to begin immediately.
