DPD to create 150 jobs and invest further in electric vehicles
The delivery company is to create 150 jobs and amp up attempts to become carbon netural through investment in electric vehicles.
The investment, as part of its ElecriCity campaign, will allow for the provision of 15 new electric delivery vehicles, which will bring the company's total to 25. The new vehicles will serve delivery routes within Dublin, as it is currently one of the only parts of the country with suitable charging facilities for the electric vehicles' batteries.
DPD's business continues to grow within Ireland and many of the new jobs will facilitate the increased demand the business is seeing. The company currently employs 1,150 people in Ireland and the jobs boost will see this number rise to 1,300.
