Last Call for CAO Applications

Today, 1st February, is the CAO applications deadline.

All CAO applicants must submit their CAO application today by 5:15pm.

CAO (Central Applications Office) has been accepting applicants for almost three months now when the application process opened on 6th Novemeber 2017. However, every year many students leave it to the final day to make their last minute application.  “Every year a number of applicants put off making their application until the last couple of hours or even minutes without thinking about the consequences of their browser timing out, their internet connection failing, or encountering payment issues. In order to be fair to all applicants strict deadlines apply and applicants should submit their application in a timely manner,” CAO communications officer, Eileen Keleghan. CAO urges applicants to make their application before deadline closes.

Restricted Applications

The 1st February deadline is especially significant for Mature Students, applicants for the HEAR and/or DARE schemes and those applying for restricted courses. These applications require additional assessments such as interview and/or submission of supporting documentation. Applications cannot be made for these categories beyond the 1st February.

Late Applications

Students who miss the 1st February deadline and who are not making restricted applications can apply for a late application from 5th March until 1st May.  Late applicants may not apply for restricted courses listed in the CAO handbook. The late application fee is €60.
