LinkedIn announces 800 new jobs for Dublin office

Online professional social network, LinkedIn, is to bring its Dublin headcount to 2,000 with 800 new jobs

LinkedIn announces 800 new jobs for Dublin office

LinkedIn, the professional social networking site, has announced that it will create 800 jobs at its Dublin office over the next year. These new roles will bring the company's total headcount at its EMEA headquarters in Wilton place to 2,000. This considerable expansion has been attributed to the rapid growth that the business has seen over the last few years.

The company aims to fill these roles by summer of next year and they have already begun their recruitment process for several of these positions. Over 100 roles are open today and you can view opportunities HERE. The new roles range across a number of business areas and include positions in sales, marketing, customer service, finance, and analytics.

LinkedIn will be renewing its "ReturnIn" programme in conjunction with this recruitment drive. The "ReturnIn" programme is aimed as those who wish to return to employment after taking time out, for example, to look after children or act as a carer. LinkedIn invites applications from those who wish to return to the workforce and successful candidates will receive customised support based on their needs, as they reintegrate into the working world.

Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD, has welcomed the announcement, saying the expansion serves as a testament to Dublin's position as the "Digital Capital of Europe." She also praised the "ReturnIn" scheme for the extra support it provides to those returning to the workforce. Sharon Mcooey, Head of LinkedIn Ireland, noted the growth of the company's presence within Ireland, from the perspective of its workforce and user base; the EMEA HQ is now the company's second largest office and two million Irish members use LinkedIn. She expressed her gratitude for the support the company has received from the Irish Government, through IDA Ireland, which has enabled the business to expand at this scale.
