Realist

Realists are usually interested in 'things' - such as buildings, mechanics, equipment, tools, electronics etc. Their primary focus is dealing with these - as in building, fixing, operating or designing them. Involvement in these areas leads to high manual skills, or a fine aptitude for practical design - as found in the various forms of engineering.

Realists like to find practical solutions to problems using tools, technology and skilled work. Realists usually prefer to be active in their work environment, often do most of their work alone, and enjoy taking decisive action with a minimum amount of discussion and paperwork.

Look into Law TY programme with The Bar of Ireland

Applications open on Monday 22nd October and close Monday 19th November 2018 for the 2019 Look into Law, the TY programme offered to 100 successful candidates. This annual programme is an exciting initiative aimed at increasing awareness of, and interest in, a career as a barrister.

The activities include trial viewing; a visit to the Four Courts, King’s Inns, Criminal Courts of Justice; meeting a sitting Judge and Court Garda and participation in a mock trial. The Look into Law TY programme takes place Monday 4th to Friday 8th February 2019.

Full details are available here. Please note that the nomination must come from the school and only one nomination per school. At least 20% of places are reserved for DEIS schools and students are selected on a completely random basis. Only schools who send in the full details required and within the four week application time will be considered.
