Linguistic

The Linguistic's interests are usually focused on ideas and information exchange. They tend to like reading a lot, and enjoy discussion about what has been said. Some will want to write about their own ideas and may follow a path towards journalism, story writing or editing. Others will develop skills in other languages, perhaps finding work as a translator or interpreter. Most Linguistic types will enjoy the opportunity to teach or instruct people in a topic they are interested in.

Look into Law TY programme with The Bar of Ireland

Applications open on Monday 14th October and close Monday 11th November 2019 for the 2020 Look into Law TY programme offered to 100 successful candidates. This annual programme is an exciting initiative aimed at increasing awareness of, and interest in, a career as a barrister.

The activities include trial viewing; a visit to the Four Courts, King’s Inns, Criminal Courts of Justice; meeting a sitting Judge and Court Garda and participation in a mock trial.

Please note that the nomination must come from the school and only one nomination per school. At least 20% of places are reserved for DEIS schools and students are selected on a completely random basis. Only schools who send in the full details required and within the four week application time will be considered.
