The Linguistic's interests are usually focused on ideas and information exchange. They tend to like reading a lot, and enjoy discussion about what has been said. Some will want to write about their own ideas and may follow a path towards journalism, story writing or editing. Others will develop skills in other languages, perhaps finding work as a translator or interpreter. Most Linguistic types will enjoy the opportunity to teach or instruct people in a topic they are interested in.

Civil and Public Service Recruiting For Temporary Clerical Officers

PublicJobs.ie, on behalf of the Civil & Public services. are currently recruiting a number of Temporary Clerical Officers across ten counties throughout the country.

The applications are open now across the following counties:

Leinster: Dublin, Kilkenny, Longford, Meath & Wicklow

Munster: Limerick & Tipperary

Connacht: Sligo & Roscommon

Ulster: Monaghan

Candidates are asked to apply as soon as possible for these positions as applications are due to close at 3PM on Tuesday 17th of September, 2019.

The position of Temporary Clerical Officer includes, but is not limited to, duties such as:

  • Customer Service
  • Supporting line-managers
  • Routine accounts work
  • Use of Information Technology e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, database, e-mail and internet
  • General clerical duties e.g. filing, photocopying, answering/making telephone calls, dealing with emails, reception desk, etc;

In order for applicants to be successful there are a number of entry requirements to be fulfilled such as some relevant work experience, preferably in a customer service or office environment. In addition to this candidates are expected to have proficient ICT skills and relevant knowledge and skills with regards to the clerical position. Potential applicants must be 16 years of age or older (born on or before 17th September 2003) and be an EEA citizen by the date of any offered job.
