The ESB Networks Apprenticeship Programme will open for applications on Monday 18th February. This year’s programme seeks to recruit up to 70 new ESB Networks’ Apprentices.
The Apprenticeship Programme is widely recognised as one of the best around offering recruits the opportunity to learn a variety of electrical and practical skills through a combination of on the job learning as well as classroom-based learning.
The four year programme offers excellent training and with working both indoors and outdoors, no two days will be the same. On completion of the programme, recruits will obtain an internationally recognised QQI Advanced Level 6 Electrical Trade Certificate and be eligible for essential roles in a world class utility company.

What Our Apprentices Say
“It’s a great job if you like a challenge. No two days are the same and not a day goes by that you don’t learn something. It’s also a job that carries great satisfaction, whether it’s putting electricity into one new house or restoring power to 100 houses in the middle of a storm, there is always a good sense of achievement.”
“My experience has been nothing but positive, educational and enjoyable. My workmates and management have been extremely helpful by passing on as much knowledge and hands on skills as possible. I really enjoy the physical and electrical aspect of my job. I would highly recommend both young women and men to apply for this apprenticeship like I did, you will have no regrets.”
