Carne Group to create 250 new jobs in Wexford and Kilkenny

Irish financial services firm, Carne Group is set to create 250 new jobs in Kilkenny and Wexford over the next three years. The announcement comes as the company plans to almost double its headcount by 2021, and 50 of these jobs will be located at a new base for the company in Wexford. The Ireland CEO of Carne Group, Yvonne Connolly said that Carne Group is currently recruiting for the jobs based in Wexford.

The firm specialises in providing fund management solutions to the asset management industry. The jobs boost will allow the company to offer greater support to its current clients and develop its business in new, emerging markets in the Far East and the Americas.

The announcement was welcomed by Wexford TD and Minister for State for Financial Services, Michael D'Arcy. He said that the "expansion is great for Wexford and shows Carne Group's investment in the region and its talents workforce." Kevin Sherry, Executive Director, Business Development, Enterprise Ireland praised Carne Group, saying that the company has become " a key partner in Ireland and internationally in the provision of a range of world class Fund Services." Carne Group's expansion is supported by the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation, through Enterprise Ireland. 

The new roles will range across a number of departments and will include roles in Risk Management, Compliance, and Operations, as well as IT Developers, IT Architects, Data Miners, Cybersecurity Experts, Financial Crime Specialists and Business Analysts.
