The mid-term break is upon us for schools all across the country. This is a time where students can unwind and enjoy the Halloween festivities.
However, during this week many students can use the time to sample some of the courses and programmes provided by colleges around the country.
Waterford Institute of Technology will be hosting ‘Try Nursing @ WIT’, a 2 day taster course for 5th and 6th year students. Session 1 for Tuesday 29th & Wednesday 30th are fully booked but there is limited availability for Thursday 31st & Friday 1st.

WIT are also hosting a ‘Try Computers @ WIT’ event which is hosted by their Department of Computing & Mathematics. The event is geared towards FE, TY, 5th & 6th year students to display all that the college has to offer.

The Institute of Art, Design & Technology in Dun Laoghaire (IADT) have three taster days from Tuesday 29th – Thursday 31st. Each day is filled with comprehensive workshops to give prospective students an insight to their courses.

In addition to these, Saturday November 2nd will see Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) hold their open day at the Mayo Campus in Castlebar from 10am and the National College of Art & Design (NCAD) will be holding a Portfolio Information Session from 12pm.
