Realist

Realists are usually interested in 'things' - such as buildings, mechanics, equipment, tools, electronics etc. Their primary focus is dealing with these - as in building, fixing, operating or designing them. Involvement in these areas leads to high manual skills, or a fine aptitude for practical design - as found in the various forms of engineering.

Realists like to find practical solutions to problems using tools, technology and skilled work. Realists usually prefer to be active in their work environment, often do most of their work alone, and enjoy taking decisive action with a minimum amount of discussion and paperwork.

The Executive Officer (EO) Dublin competition is now LIVE

The Civil Service plays a pivotal role in the social and economic development of the State.  If you are an ambitious, enterprising individual who enjoys challenging work and is committed to the concept of public service, a position as an Executive Officer could be the ideal role for you.

At junior management level, Executive Officers are employed across Government Departments/Offices, covering a wide range of functional responsibilities.  While engaged in a variety of activities, typically Executive Officers are responsible for managing people and delivering results, while maintaining a strong customer service ethos.
