Administrative

Administrative people are interested in work that offers security and a sense of being part of a larger process. They may be at their most productive under supervisors who give clear guidelines and while performing routine tasks in a methodical and reliable way.

They tend to enjoy clerical and most forms of office work, where they perform essential administrative duties. They often form the backbone of large and small organisations alike. They may enjoy being in charge of office filing systems, and using computers and other office equipment to keep things running smoothly. They usually like routine work hours and prefer comfortable indoor workplaces.

Key Dates for CAO 2019

CAO applications have been sent off and is out of mind for the majority of students until the Change of Mind facility opens  on 6th May. But for some students there are a few deadlines that they will need to keep in mind. Here is a list of some of the key date for CAO. Click here for a full list of CAO key dates.

 

1st March sees the deadline for amending course choices, this applies to those who have already made an application to CAO. Mature applicants will need to complete their CAO form by this date and students applying to HEAR and/or DARE will need to have their online HEAR/DARE forms completed.

5th March – late application facility opens.

1st May – closing date for late applications.

 

6th May marks the beginning of the online Change of Mind facility. During this window, applicants are free to make as many changes to their application as they wish. They are free to remove courses, introduce new courses and change the order of their course preferences. Bear in mind that you will not be able to apply for restricted courses at this date.

Before the end of May all applicants will receive a Statement of Application Record.

1st July, Change of Mind facility closes.

 

Offer Season

5th JulyRound A offers are released.

10th July  -Reply date for Round A

Round A offers  refer to deferred applicants; mature applicants; mature nursing/midwifery applicants; some graduate entry pathways; applicants who may be required to make visa arrangements; applicants who have completed an Access course.

 

1st AugustRound Zero offers are released.

7th August – Reply date for Round Zero.

Round Zero offers refer to  graduate entry medicine applicants; additional mature, deferred and Access applicants; and applicants presenting QQI FET/FETAC for consideration for entry to courses with a quota for QQI FET/FETAC applicants.

13th August – Leaving Cert 2019 results are issued.


15th August
Round One offers are released.

23rd August – Reply date for Round One

Round 0ne offers refer to all applicants applying to CAO on the basis of Leaving Cert results regardless of year completed.

 

28th August Round Two offers are released.

30th August  - Reply date for Round Two
