Deem announces 50 jobs at new Dublin Innovation Centre

Deem, a mobile and cloud software technology company which specialises in travel management solutions for corporate clientele, has announced that it will create 50 jobs at its new European Innovation Centre in Dublin. Deem had been looking to expand its global operations and decided Dublin would be the ideal location for the establishment of a European base. CEO and President of Deem, John Rizzo, said that the decision to open its European hub in Dublin can be attributed to the fact that Dublin is "a world-renowned hub for technology, innovation and excellence with an exceptional number of skills workers, great international connections and a high standard of living."

Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys TD echoed Rizzo's statement and added that she looks forward to seeing Deem expand in Ireland over the coming years. Martin Shanahan, CEO of IDA Ireland expressed a similar sentiment, stating that Deem's arrival in Dublin is a "testament to the highly-skilled, diverse workforce we have here in Ireland, particularly in the technology sector."

The company is recruiting for 50 software engineers for its European Innovation Centre in Dublin. Director of Irish Operations for Deem, Ashutosh Saxena said that this is "a once-in-a-career opportunity" for software engineers. Additionally, Deem boasts a 4.5 out of 5 star rating on Glassdoor, where employees can anonymously review their companies and management. The software engineer jobs will be recruited for this year, but there may be further expansion for the company in Dublin in 2020.
