The Work - Hospitality Assistant

Hospitality assistants are employed in all areas of the industry from customer reception, to kitchen, bar, bedrooms or dining room. 

Tasks may range from ensuring that food and beverage areas are fully stocked, and the working environment is clean and tidy, to responsiblity for serving food and beverages in a timely manner and attending to customer requests in order to ensure a great customer experience.

Those employed in this area will typically be involved in shift and weekend work, given the nature of the work.

  • Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
  • Provide guests with menus.
  • Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings.
