About Us

Founded in 1898, Mary Immaculate College (MIC) is an autonomous university-level College of Education and the Liberal Arts. We are a multi-campus institution with a student population of over 5,000 enrolled on a wide range of programmes, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The ever increasing popularity of MIC can be attributed to the quality of our programme provision, availability of scholarships and a reputation for excellence in teaching and research.

Adding to MIC’s appeal is the expanded subject offering now available on the Bachelor of Arts (MI002) programme, four second-level degree teaching programme on the MIC, St Patrick’s Campus, Thurles, and the exciting BA in Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies degree.
