An essential prerequisite to a career in tax is obtaining the AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification. Due to the varied and hands on nature of the work in Taxand Ireland’s office, I have found working in tax very beneficial when preparing for the AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) exams and conversely, I have found the knowledge I have acquired as part of the AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) course has assisted me massively in my day to day work with Taxand Ireland (William Fry).

Enterprising people like situations that involve using resources for personal or corporate economic gain. Such people may have an opportunistic frame of mind, and like commerce, trade and making deals. Some are drawn to sales and marketing occupations. Many will eventually end up owning their own business, or managing a section in larger organisations. They tend to be very goal-oriented, and work best when focused on a target. Some have an entrepreneurial inclination.

The Lir Academy is Ireland's National Academy of Dramatic Art at Trinity College Dublin.  It was established as a result of a recognised need within the theatre, film and TV industries for a centre of training excellence for the arts.

The Lir currently offers undergradate degrees, postgraduate degrees and short courses.

Its close associations with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London and Trinity College Dublin ensure that the contents of all courses are set to the highest international standards, so whether you are setting out to undertake a postgraduate Master Degree in Playwriting or a beginners Introduction to Acting course, you will be trained by industry professionals in a trusting, dynamic and fun environment.

The tutors at The Lir Academy have extensive experience in professional theatre and continue to work in and maintain close contacts with the national and international theatre, film and TV industries.

Application for any of the undergraduate courses at The Lir is not through the CAO system. Students are asked to apply directly through The Lir website at www.thelir.ie

The Bachelor in Acting Degree and the Bachelor in  Stage Management and Technical Theatre fall under the free fees initiative.
