Realist

Realists are usually interested in 'things' - such as buildings, mechanics, equipment, tools, electronics etc. Their primary focus is dealing with these - as in building, fixing, operating or designing them. Involvement in these areas leads to high manual skills, or a fine aptitude for practical design - as found in the various forms of engineering.

Realists like to find practical solutions to problems using tools, technology and skilled work. Realists usually prefer to be active in their work environment, often do most of their work alone, and enjoy taking decisive action with a minimum amount of discussion and paperwork.

Castlebar College of Further Education has been Mayo’s leading provider of Post Leaving Certificate courses for twenty years and offers the widest range of courses in the county. It is strategically located in Newtown, Castlebar, County Mayo and provides a wonderful learning environment for students of all ages. The bridge to your future
Our college is a great place to study whether you are just after leaving school or are in adult wishing to up- skill, re-skill or get skilled. When thinking of our college, an image of a ‘bridge’ comes to mind. For the prospective student that could be the’ bridge’ you need to cross to get to a Higher Education Course in Ireland or elsewhere, the qualification/training needed to go directly into employment or change career, or the chance to learn new skills or up-skill.

We have low fees for all of our courses, with a booking fee of just €50.

CCFE has an excellent reputation in providing high-quality QQI courses which can lead directly into employment or offer an avenue for pursing further study at third level institutions.
