Realist

Realists are usually interested in 'things' - such as buildings, mechanics, equipment, tools, electronics etc. Their primary focus is dealing with these - as in building, fixing, operating or designing them. Involvement in these areas leads to high manual skills, or a fine aptitude for practical design - as found in the various forms of engineering.

Realists like to find practical solutions to problems using tools, technology and skilled work. Realists usually prefer to be active in their work environment, often do most of their work alone, and enjoy taking decisive action with a minimum amount of discussion and paperwork.

Drogheda Institute of Further Education is the largest provider of PLC courses in the north east region. Our aim is to provide Further Education courses which are of the highest quality to school leavers, and adults returning to education.

We offer almost forty courses in a wide variety of disciplines, all of which are fully accredited by QQI and all relevant professional examining bodies.

Highly dedicated and experienced staff are on hand to guide students and modern facilities in every area ensure that students become familiar with the technology of the workplace. Close liaison with employers also ensures that courses are relevant and up to date.

Our diverse courses range across the following faculties: Art, Design & Technology, Business Humanities & IT, Sports, Leisure & Tourism, Community & HealthCare, Applied Science. 

A varied Night Class programme is also provided at DIFE.
