Creative?
Creative
Creative people are drawn to careers and activities that enable them to take responsibility for the design, layout or sensory impact of something (visual, auditory etc). They may be drawn towards the traditional artistic pursuits such as painting, sculpture, singing, or music. Or they may show more interest in design, such as architecture, animation, or craft areas, such as pottery and ceramics.

Creative people use their personal understanding of people and the world they live in to guide their work. Creative people like to work in unstructured workplaces, enjoy taking risks and prefer a minimum of routine.

The event offers an opportunity for guidance counsellors to hear talks by lecturers, current students and admissions staff in addition to networking with their colleagues from across the country.

On Guidance Counsellor Information Day, DIT will showcase its extensive range of professional, career-focused programmes, delivered across all of a large number of disciplines, including key areas in the sciences and health; business and media; hospitality, tourism and culinary arts; engineering and all aspects of the built environment; visual and performing arts; social care and early education.

As well as the wide choice of programmes, DIT also offers a wide range of entry routes at Level 6, 7 and 8 with obvious pathways to higher levels in each case.
