Do not go into teaching solely for holidays, and definitely not if you want to be rich! You need to like children be patient, kind and be able to work with many types of people.

Enterprising?
Enterprising
Enterprising people like situations that involve using resources for personal or corporate economic gain. Such people may have an opportunistic frame of mind, and like commerce, trade and making deals. Some are drawn to sales and marketing occupations. Many will eventually end up owning their own business, or managing a section in larger organisations. They tend to be very goal-oriented, and work best when focused on a target. Some have an entrepreneurial inclination.

The Open Day will offer an ideal opportunity to check out your options in person, to get a feel for the unique atmosphere on our MIC, St Patrick's Campus, Thurles, see our state-of-the-art facilities and hear about our highly sought after programmes.

During the Open Day you will be taken on a tour of the campus and you will have an opportunity to talk to lecturers and current students about our programmes and the services available at the information stands. As part of the Thurles Open Day students can also visit LIT Thurles Campus.
