Realists are usually interested in 'things' - such as buildings, mechanics, equipment, tools, electronics etc. Their primary focus is dealing with these - as in building, fixing, operating or designing them. Involvement in these areas leads to high manual skills, or a fine aptitude for practical design - as found in the various forms of engineering.

Realists like to find practical solutions to problems using tools, technology and skilled work. Realists usually prefer to be active in their work environment, often do most of their work alone, and enjoy taking decisive action with a minimum amount of discussion and paperwork.

New QQI Advanced Beauty Therapy Level 6 course at Monaghan Institute

Monaghan Institute is offering a new QQI Advanced Beauty Therapy Level 6 course which is scheduled to start in September, 2019. The course will provide learners with supervisory skills and the ability to provide specialist beauty and body therapy treatments in a variety of contexts.  There will be a strong emphasis on practical experience in a professional salon environment

This Advanced course is aimed at Beauty Therapists who already hold a QQI Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) and will be delivered over 3 days per week in college, with 2 days work placement.

Subjects may include: 

  • Body and Beauty Science & Treatments
  • Depilation Tanning & Lightening
  • Indian Head Massage
  • On Site Massage
  • Business Management
  • Team Leadership
  • Work Experience
