UL Law School of the Year 2017

Posted on February 13, 2018

Having been awarded Law School of the Year in 2017 at the AIB Private Banking Irish Law Awards, the University of Limerick aims to take the lead once again with the introduction of American attorney Dean Strang to the teaching staff beginning February 10, 2018. Mr. Strang, lead defence attorney at the centre of Netflix’s ‘Making a Murderer’ will deliver lectures over a six week period to groups of UL law students.

Having stood as the legal representation for murder suspect Steven Avery, Mr. Strang will provide invaluable experience and knowledge to the students at the University. Commenting on his new role Mr. Strang acknowledged, “

The University of Limerick has given me the chance of a lifetime: to immerse myself in an Irish law school for nearly two months, and to learn about how law is taught and lived in Ireland. I will have chances to hear and meet Irish students, professors, lawyers and judges and to consider questions that daily law practice either crowds out or omits.”
