Creative

Creative people are drawn to careers and activities that enable them to take responsibility for the design, layout or sensory impact of something (visual, auditory etc). They may be drawn towards the traditional artistic pursuits such as painting, sculpture, singing, or music. Or they may show more interest in design, such as architecture, animation, or craft areas, such as pottery and ceramics.

Creative people use their personal understanding of people and the world they live in to guide their work. Creative people like to work in unstructured workplaces, enjoy taking risks and prefer a minimum of routine.

CMETB & Monaghan Institute Launch Career Traineeship In Digital Marketing

Posted on November 9, 2018

Cavan and Monaghan ETB introduced a new Career Traineeship in Digital Marketing based at Monaghan Institute in September. In partnership with local businesses such as McAree Engineering, Aughey Screens, Derek Eakin LTD and Brixworkwear, this course offers an industry specific qualification and is aimed at learners entering the Digital Marketing sector, as well as those already working in these areas who are looking to renew their skills with formal training.

What is a Career Traineeship?

A Career Traineeship is an occupational skills development training programme that is tailored to the identified needs of a specific industry sector or sub-sector and leads to nationally recognised qualifications. The traineeship combines directed off the job training (classroom-based learning) in Monaghan Institute with on-the-job training (work-based learning) delivered within local companies. This approach provides students with the opportunity to develop their skills, knowledge and competence within a supportive working environment. The duration of the programme is 38 weeks to include 30% work placement.

Undertaking a programme of learning in a real work context further increases the prospects of employment. Following completion of this traineeship, it is intended that many of the students will transition to employment with the company after successful interviews. Some may also wish to continue immediately with their learning and development.

Career Traineeships are funded by the Irish Government and the European Support Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014 – 2020.
