What are your interests?



The Linguistic's interests are usually focused on ideas and information exchange. They tend to like reading a lot, and enjoy discussion about what has been said. Some will want to write about their own ideas and may follow a path towards journalism, or story writing or editing. Others will develop skills in other languages, perhaps finding work as a translator or interpreter. Most Linguistic types will enjoy the opportunity to teach or instruct people in a topic they are interested in.

Progression routes to WIT

Waterford Institute of Technology offers preferential entry to students who successfully complete a PLC course in Dungarvan College (or in another partner College of Further Education) and who also meet certain criteria. For further information please visit the following link:

  • WIT - College of Further Education Progression Agreements (Eligibility Criteria) The WIT website provides a list of the progression agreements between the WIT and the various Colleges of Further Education. The most up to date information relating to Dungarvan College can be downloaded in Adobe pdf format. Important Note: An appendix in the progression agreement lists the various entry criteria when progressing from a course in Dungarvan College to a corresponding course in WIT.
