What are your interests?



Realists are usually interested in 'things' - such as buildings, mechanics, equipment, tools, electronics etc. Their primary focus is dealing with these - as in building, fixing, operating or designing them. Involvement in these areas leads to high manual skills, or a fine aptitude for practical design - as found in the various forms of engineering.

Realists like to find practical solutions to problems using tools, technology and skilled work. Realists usually prefer to be active in their work environment, often do most of their work alone, and enjoy taking decisive action with a minimum amount of discussion and paperwork.

Applications still open for BIMM/2FM Diploma in Music & Audio Production Scholarship

BIMM Institute Dublin and 2FM are continuing to support and shape the Irish music scene with the announcement of the second 2FM BIMM Institute Dublin Diploma in Music & Audio Production’ Scholarship.

The scholarship will offer one student the opportunity to study on this year long Diploma course free of charge. Prospective students can apply for the scholarship by submitting an application at info@bimm.ie

The part-time course will serve as a fundamental introduction to music and audio production, providing students with the core knowledge, technical and creative skills required for a range of creative industries including music production, audio engineering, audio for games, broadcast, post-production, corporate audio, pro-audio sales and audio system installation.

Director of Music for 2fm Alan Swan said:

“It’s a privilege that we can continue this relationship with BIMM and offer a scholarship like this for a second year running. Considering the amount of BIMM artists past and present that 2fm plays or works with in the industry it’s exciting to be able to highlight the amazing work BIMM do.” 

BIMM Institute Dublin College Principal, Alan Cullivan said: “Here in BIMM we are delighted to continue working with Ireland’s biggest supporter of new Irish music. 2FM give such amazing support to new Irish artists, it’s a very easy relationship to have and we are extremely excited for the future and most importantly for the scholarship recipient to get such great support.”

The Diploma will be delivered at BIMM Institute Dublin, in the heart of Ireland’s most vibrant and diverse community of musicians – and will provide unique opportunities for collaborative student learning, as well as direct connectivity to industry that will enhance future career prospects.

The course, like all qualifications at BIMM Institute Dublin, is delivered by a highly skilled team of established music industry professionals, which ensures that the delivery of this qualification will be distinctive, relevant and uniquely cutting edge.
