What are your interests?



The Social person's interests focus on some aspect of those people in their environment. In all cases the social person enjoys the personal contact of other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people, and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

New Level 8 (Hons) Business Degree to be run in Monaghan Institute

The School of Business and Humanities at DkIT intends to offer a Bachelor of Business (Hons) Level 8 degree in Monaghan Institute from September, 2015.

A minimum of six passes in the Leaving Cert (including Mathematics and either English or Irish), with at least Grade C3 in two higher level papers together with at least a Grade D3 in four Ordinary Level papers plus a minimum of 300 points.

Applicants with a full Level 5 or Level 6 QQI (FETAC) award (including a Distinction grade in at least three modules) are also eligible to apply.

Experiential learning will be assessed under DkIT’s Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) process.

It is important to note that all applicants for the new Level 8 programme must have applied through CAO (Course Code DK817).

Anyone interested in the course that has already applied through CAO can use the change of mind facility which is available from now and open until 1st July. There is no fee for using the change of mind facility.
