What are your interests?



Realists are usually interested in 'things' - such as buildings, mechanics, equipment, tools, electronics etc. Their primary focus is dealing with these - as in building, fixing, operating or designing them. Involvement in these areas leads to high manual skills, or a fine aptitude for practical design - as found in the various forms of engineering.

Realists like to find practical solutions to problems using tools, technology and skilled work. Realists usually prefer to be active in their work environment, often do most of their work alone, and enjoy taking decisive action with a minimum amount of discussion and paperwork.

ITT Launch New International Business Degree

IT Tallaght Department of Business Management launch a new International Business Degree. 

We are introducing a Bachelor Degree in International Business (TA116) and a Bachelor Degree (Honours) in International Business (TA 125).
Both programmes prepare students to work in an international setting. They provide an education in the essential disciplines of business with specialist focus on the global business environment. 

The course is structured around 5 core pillars:

  • International Business
  • I.T.
  • Personal Development
  • Finance and Performance Management
  • Business Practice

Some areas of study for each year include:

Year 1 – Foundation Knowledge
Business Environment

Year 2 – Acquiring Skills and Knowledge
Globalisation in Emerging Markets
International Services
International Trade and Policy
Innovation and Enterprise

Year 3 - Acquiring Skills and Knowledge
International Selling Strategies
Global Operations and Supply Chain
Digital Business
Professional Communications and Placement Preparation*
*Undertake a work placement either overseas or with an international company based in Ireland. In addition, IT Tallaght has established extensive agreements with our partner institutions in Canada, Vietnam, China and Europe. These agreements provide exciting opportunities for our students to study abroad for a semester. 

Year 4 - Specialisation 
Customise your choice of subjects with five modules to complete each semester. 
Modules include:
International Marketing and Export Management
International Business Project
International Trade Law
