Realist?

Realist

Realists are usually interested in 'things' - such as buildings, mechanics, equipment, tools, electronics etc. Their primary focus is dealing with these - as in building, fixing, operating or designing them. Involvement in these areas leads to high manual skills, or a fine aptitude for practical design - as found in the various forms of engineering.

Realists like to find practical solutions to problems using tools, technology and skilled work. Realists usually prefer to be active in their work environment, often do most of their work alone, and enjoy taking decisive action with a minimum amount of discussion and paperwork.

Postgraduate – Re-focus your career with NCAD conversion courses in 2019

Looking to re-direct your career? Conversion MA courses at NCAD accept applicants from diverse backgrounds like design; the humanities; social science; computer science; engineering and business; fine art; art history; philosophy; literature; film studies; architecture; communications…  Re-focus the direction of your career with MA Art in the Contemporary World; MA Design History and Material Culture; MSc Medical Device Design; MA Interaction Design; and MA Service Design – the first of its kind in Ireland.

Postgraduate – NCAD Priority Deadline and Scholarships

The priority deadline for applications to all postgraduate programmes is 30th April.

NCAD are offering a number of MA scholarships and PhD studentships to incoming students for 2019/20. These scholarships will recognise excellence, outstanding achievement and potential in Art, Design and Visual Culture. The scholarships, worth full tuition fees in most cases are awarded on academic merit and all applicants are eligible, including EU and non EU students. Applications submitted by the priority deadline will be considered for a scholarship.
