Investigative 
The Investigative person will usually find a particular area of science to be of interest. They are inclined toward intellectual and analytical activities and enjoy observation and theory. They may prefer thought to action, and enjoy the challenge of solving problems with clever technology. They will often follow the latest developments in their chosen field, and prefer mentally stimulating environments.

SciFest at LIT

Limerick & Thurles

LIT’s Moylish and Thurles Campuses will host the annual SciFest competitions in Moylish Campus, Limerick on April 27th & Thurles Campus on May 3rd with schools from across the region competing on both campuses and showcasing their scientific projects.

The event is hosted annually by LIT’s Department of Applied Science, which offers a broad range of degrees across areas such as Applied Biology, Medical Technology, Environmental Science, Pharmaceutical & Forensic Science and Drug & Medicinal Product Analysis.

Each year the judging panel continue to be impressed with the skills, energy, enthusiasm and creativity of the students, along with the high standard of research, display and communication. SciFest is a competition that aims to encourage an interest in science, while prioritising inclusivity and inquiry-based learning. LIT is looking forward to another great SciFest this year!
