Social

The Social person's interests focus on interacting with the people in their environment. In all cases, the Social person enjoys the personal contact with other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

New Courses for 2019

The Certificate in Aviation Finance will attract students interesting in developing skills and pursuing a career in the Leasing Sector in Aviation.  The course will have an emphasis on aircraft and airline finance and leasing.  The Level 5 Award will have an emphasis on the acquisition and financing of aircraft as well as developing an understanding of the sector.  Most of the world's aircraft leasing companies have a presence in Ireland and the sector is experiencing strong growth at the present time.  Progression is available to Level 8 courses.

The Certificate in Cyber Security with Software Development Level 5 course provides an introduction to the various aspects of cyber security where the main focus is the identification and management of risks to information systems. 

The course provides a thorough grounding in coding and hardware and networking concepts so students can appreciate what cyber security involves.  Students who complete this course can progress to a Level 8 Computer Science course that specialises in Cyber Security.

Pre University Law attracts students who are interesting in pursuing a Law Degree.  The course will have a strong emphasis on the law and allow the learners an opportunity to have a work experience in a Solicitor's or Barrister's office to develop a good understanding of the sector.   There are many progression opportunities for students to progress to higher education with a degree in Law including Trinity College, UCD, TU Dublin, IADT and NCI.
