Careers rarely develop the way we plan them. Our career path often takes many twists and turns, with particular events, choices and people influencing our direction.
We asked Brian Kelly from BioPharmachem Ireland to give some advice for people considering this job:
|Go for it! But realise that its not going to be easy and things take time and there are LOTS of sacrifices to make. Also make sure you learn from your mistakes - because you will make them. It is really only a mistake if you don't learn from it.|

Certificates at this level are typically awarded for two years of full-time study after the leaving certificate or equivalent. Skills developed are mostly technical and vocationally specific, i.e. are focused on a specific career sector. National apprenticeships programmes are included in this level.
Awards at this level recognised by the National Framework of Qualifications may lead to 3rd level progression opportunities.
Qualifications at this level prepare for occupations that involve using the skills and knowledge learned alongside existing workers in 'real world' environments. Examples include restaurant managers, electricians, engineering technicians, legal secretaries, hairdressers, and web developers.
|AQA||All qualified applicants accepted.|
The focus of the programme is on developing core accounting skills with a complementary range of both back-office and front-office skills in administration and information technology. The first year of the programme focuses on developing student’s foundational accounting, tax and business skills and knowledge while the second year of the programme is dedicated to developing advanced skills and knowledge associated with accounting and administrative related roles. An emphasis on information technology for general business, accounting and payroll infiltrates both years of the programme.
