Engineering in general is an extremely broad career and can lead to you many different applications and many different parts of the world. Itís also a career which can give you a set of skills highly adaptable to other careers. In Intel the same applies. Day to day the job changes so being able to change with the job is important. Make sure you are adaptable and can apply your skills in many different situations.

Social?
Social
The Social person's interests focus on some aspect of those people in their environment. In all cases the social person enjoys the personal contact of other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people, and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

3rd level Graduates are qualified for a wide range of occupations, and their education prepares them for roles involving specific skills, and for coordinating, supervising, managing, or training others. Examples include accountants, sales managers, computer programmers, teachers, chemists, environmental engineers, criminal investigators, and financial analysts.

For those interested in a career in medicine this degree offers a patient -centred programme that is continually adapting to the needs of society and developments in medical knowledge.

Alongside academic lectures there are many opportunities for practical hands-on experience throughout the six years, from small group learning, to clinical bedside learning and advanced clinical placements in over twenty different training hospitals and more than a hundred primary care practices.

The first year focusses on the core sciences and their application to medicine and includes Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Genetics, Ethics, Healthcare Imaging and Science, Medicine and Society.
