Do not go into teaching solely for holidays, and definitely not if you want to be rich! You need to like children be patient, kind and be able to work with many types of people.

Social 
The Social person's interests focus on some aspect of those people in their environment. In all cases the social person enjoys the personal contact of other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people, and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

Course Description

This course is structured to provide a foundation in the theory and practice of health science for learners with potential for academic progression routes in nursing and related health studies in Universities and Institutes of Technology in Ireland and the UK.

This Nursing Studies course combines a range of modules that provides learners with a realistic experience of the academic demands of studying nursing/health related courses at third level. As part of the course a three week work experience will be completed which learners arrange in a health care setting.
