I would advise somebody considering this job to talk to people who are engineers already. They should try to talk to people working in different areas of engineering as even when people do the same degree they can have very different day to day jobs, from full time office based jobs to full time site based jobs.

Also it is important to remember that even if you complete an engineering degree you are not limited to a purely technical career as there are plenty of other areas you can get involved in like project management or finance.

Linguistic
The Linguistic's interests are usually focused on ideas and information exchange. They tend to like reading a lot, and enjoy discussion about what has been said. Some will want to write about their own ideas and may follow a path towards journalism, or story writing or editing. Others will develop skills in other languages, perhaps finding work as a translator or interpreter. Most Linguistic types will enjoy the opportunity to teach or instruct people in a topic they are interested in.

Course Description

This course will enable students to gain the knowledge, experience and design skills required to work in the digital design industry. Graphic and web design is the foundation of the multimedia industry which is at the forefront of todays technological industry. Companies see the importance of marketing and branding be it in printable or digital form. Social Media has become certain companys main form of advertising and promotion which requires design elements and animated interaction to attract potential markets and retain the interest of existing clients. Motion graphics and virtual reality features are todays fundamental digital effects that can transform a companys branding successfully.
