Creative
Creative people are drawn to careers and activities that enable them to take responsibility for the design, layout or sensory impact of something (visual, auditory etc). They may be drawn towards the traditional artistic pursuits such as painting, sculpture, singing, or music. Or they may show more interest in design, such as architecture, animation, or craft areas, such as pottery and ceramics.

Creative people use their personal understanding of people and the world they live in to guide their work. Creative people like to work in unstructured workplaces, enjoy taking risks and prefer a minimum of routine.

Course Description

This course provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the professional music industry. The students will gain knowledge of music theory and its practical application to musical styles and genres. Students explore the structure of the music industry in addition to gaining practical skills in recording and producing music in a modern production environment. Students also learn how to plan and organise events as part of the course.

Throughout the year, students work on assigned projects proving their competence in a number of practical skill demonstrations. Throughout the year there is class room support for theoretical aspects of the programme. At the end of the year, written examinations are completed in certain subjects.

Optional Modules:
Learners may also have the opportunity to study Maths as an extra module.
