Teaching as they say is a vocation, it is a job that requires patience and enthusiasm. If you are considering teaching you need to look beyond the holidays and think of the 9-4 Monday to Friday spent dealing with children or teenagers and the challenges which they might pose.

I would advise anyone thinking of teaching as a career to speak with Teachers and learn of their experiences, both positive and negative. I personally would encourage people to consider teaching as it is an extremely rewarding profession in terms of the interaction you get daily with young people and the colleagues you meet in the job.

Administrative?
Administrative
Administrative people are interested in work that offers security and a sense of being part of a larger process. They may be at their best operating under supervisors who give clear guidelines, and performing routine tasks in a methodical and reliable way.

They tend to enjoy clerical and most forms of office work, where they perform essential administrative duties. They often form the backbone of large and small organisations alike. They may enjoy being in charge of office filing systems, and using computers and other office equipment to keep things running smoothly. They usually like routine work hours and prefer comfortable indoor workplaces.

What will you Study?

The Higher Certificate in Strength and Condition is a further step along the pathway towards being a specialist Strength and Conditioning coach. It consists of 12 modules and provides 120 credits to the graduate. Progression is from the six modules of the Physical Fitness and Conditioning for Sport course (please see PFCS for details of the first 6 modules), through to the more advanced modules of the Higher Certificate.

These additional six modules include:

  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Growth, Movement and Development
  • Long Term Athlete or Player Development
  • Coaching Skills
  • Coaching Philosophy, Method and Ethics
  • Fitness Testing

Course Duration: 3 Years

Further study - progression route to our Bachelor of Arts in Strength & Conditioning

  • Sporting clubs and organisations (amateur to elite level)

  • Sporting societies
  • Personal training and gym instruction
Important Colleges may add/remove modules to keep the course updated and to meet demands. Almost all PLC courses have a Work Experience module, which requires students to find their own placement in an area directly related to their course.
