Naturalist?

Naturalist

Not surprisingly, some aspect of the natural sciences will run through the Naturalist's interests - from ecological awareness to nutrition and health. People with an interest in horticulture, land usage and farming (including fish) are Naturalists.

Some Naturalists focus on animals rather than plants, and may enjoy working with, training, caring for, or simply herding them. Other Naturalists will prefer working with the end result of nature's produce - the food produced from plants and animals. Naturalists like solving problems with solutions that show some sensitivity to the environmental impact of what they do. They like to see practical results and prefer action to talking and discussing.

Postgraduate Funding

Finding funding is often the biggest headache for prospective postgraduates. However, grants, scholarships, bursaries and loans are all available, and it's likely that you'll need a combination of these to pay your way through your Master's or Doctorate Programme.

NUI Galway Scholarship

A limited number of Scholarships are available for the purpose of assisting postgraduate students who are proceeding full-time to a postgraduate degree (by research) at NUI, Galway. The Scholarships are tenable for up to four years.

Burren College of Art

Burren College of Art, a private art college affiliated to NUI Galway offers funding opportunities for fine art students. These awards will be made to international (non EU) students enrolled on our PhD, MFA and MA programmes. Each award is valued at €9,200. This consists of €5,000 towards tuition fees for the full academic year 2015/16,  and €4,200 for accommodation in college housing.

Each year, UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School offers a range of merit and financial need based scholarships to both domestic and international students. Scholarships are awarded to exceptional students who will be ambassadors for the School during their studies and after graduation.
