Linguistic

The Linguistic's interests are usually focused on ideas and information exchange. They tend to like reading a lot, and enjoy discussion about what has been said. Some will want to write about their own ideas and may follow a path towards journalism, story writing or editing. Others will develop skills in other languages, perhaps finding work as a translator or interpreter. Most Linguistic types will enjoy the opportunity to teach or instruct people in a topic they are interested in.

Direct Entry Courses

If the CAO points race is something you're trying to avoid there is another option that will lead you to a degree qualification.

Direct Entry courses (also referred to as Non-CAO courses) are college courses where application is made directly to the particular college, rather than through the CAO process.

Many universities and Institutes of Technology offer accredited degree programmes as Direct Entry courses. Private colleges also offer direct entry courses which are fee paying so do not use the competitive 'Points System' to select students.

Use the CourseFinder Tool to search courses by using the filter 'Direct Entry'.
