Social?
Social
The Social person's interests focus on some aspect of those people in their environment. In all cases the social person enjoys the personal contact of other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people, and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

Career Sectors

What are Career Sectors?

Career sectors contain a collection of occupations that have something in common, for example, the type of work they do or their role in the economy. Very often people are attracted to the products or services provided by a particular sector, and seek to find employment close to the essence of that area.

We provide information on over 30 sectors that make up the Irish Labour market. These have been divided into 6 main categories to make it easy to explore.

You can return to this screen as often as you like to make different selections

Where possible we bring you the most up-to-date information directly from the experts  that oversee the different sectors. These organisations provide detailed information from which career seekers can make their most informed choices.
