The Social person's interests focus on interacting with the people in their environment. In all cases, the Social person enjoys the personal contact with other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

About Us

The School of Jewellery Ireland is the creation of goldsmith Deirdre O'Donnell and teaches solid foundations in the Traditional Skills of the Goldsmith and Jeweller. 

The tutors at The School of Jewellery Ireland are perfectionists and value the time that each student is dedicating to these challenging but rewarding skills. This is reflected in the facilities provided in a homely, yet totally professional, atmosphere that compliments craft in its truest form.


The School is conveniently located on the North Circular Road, Dublin 7 with parking, bus, train and Luas services on its doorstep. 

There are morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, one day and summer courses in addition to our full time courses that can fit into any schedule. 

Full Time Courses

These intensive Courses are designed to offer graduates all of the practical Jewellery and Goldsmith Skills needed to develop a full-time or part -time career in the jewellery trade and are on offer from September to June each year.

Part Time Courses 

These courses are varied and mainly suited to those who would like to make jewellery as a hobby, to part-time enthusiasts or to those who may be looking at it as a first step to a full-time career in the Jewellery and Goldsmith industry. 

Traditional Jewellery & Goldsmith Skills Summer School 

This Summer Week Course is extremely popular with both beginners, and students with more experience.

The Course runs Monday to Friday, 10am - 5.30pm and includes - tuition, tools, stones, base materials and delicious home made lunch each day.
