Social?

Social

The Social person's interests focus on interacting with the people in their environment. In all cases, the Social person enjoys the personal contact with other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

What advice do you have for school leavers?

If you are still in school, choose at least one language subject because you can then keep that door open rather than lose the option of having languages in your CV. In higher or further education pick languages as your subjects, or at least pick languages modules for the same reason.

If you are considering teaching, ensure you are fully qualified to teach. Being unqualified will pose issues such as not being considered for positions or not being paid the qualified rate.

What advice do you have for graduates?

If you need a further qualification, for example if you are interested in international business or tourism consider adding it to your CV.
